2024 DSPY

After almost a year of planning and taking into consideration the feedback from last year's first DSPY event, the 2nd DSPY event came into fruition on September 12, 2024 at the beautiful Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center in Fairfax, VA.

The tables were covered with crisp white table cloth and set with goodie bags from various organizations that help make the event turn into a successful one. Everyone came in their beautiful attires of show stopping colors and patterns. A bountiful amount of various food and drinks were laid out as the projector screen shows a slideshow of the 2024 DSPY nominees. The ice cream cart from last year has made an appearance for it's 2nd year in a row and a DJ and photobooth has been added this year that made the event much more interactive.

The organizers and speakers delivered beautiful and heartwarming speeches. They showcased their "why" at being in this industry and described the nominees as to why they were nominated in the first place in the most inspiring way.

The evening concluded with more food, dancing, music, and mingling!

CLA is proud to be a part of yet another successful event honoring the many wonderful things that Direct Support Professionals especially in the DMV area do.
