"I have been working with Community Alternatives for a while, and I am very pleased with how the individuals are their fist priority. CLA always ensures that all clients are supported in their wants and needs and give them the opportunity to make choices that make them happy. "Before I filled out my application to work in group homes, I read about CLA and I realized that the organization has existed for decades. This indicates that the organization has positively impacted the lives of many individuals with Developmental disability. What impressed me incredibly was my first day at the CLA head office. The HR and Training Departments gave me a warm welcome. This also indicated to me that CLA staff work as a family. The training department equipped me with the necessary skills to perform my duties, and today, I can work in any IDD organization. The House Manager was accommodating when I reported on shift after my initial training. He was the first to introduce me to the home and did hands-on training. He orientated me on the job and emphasized individual safety, security, and teamwork. I was so impressed and felt at ease. The organization also cares for its staff and provides the necessary tools to facilitate our work. CLA recognizes and rewards hardworking staff, which motivates other staff members to work harder. I haven't worked with different managers, but my manager is exceptional, and I have always loved working with him. I intend to work and achieve my fullest potential at CLA.
